About Us
Welcome!
We are glad you are here!
We take pride in selecting the very best genetics that will benefit you today, tomorrow, and for future generations to come. We believe a strong cow base in your herd ensures consistent quality. We expect our females to be easy fleshing, have perfect udders, good feet, and easy to handle. We expect our sale calves to carry the same high expectations in soundness, docility, and overall quality.
Who We Are
Welcome to High Voltage Cattle Company! We’re so glad you’re here. My name is Kelsey Munson, and alongside my husband, Taylor, we own and operate High Voltage Cattle Company. As fourth-generation ranchers, we both grew up immersed in the cattle industry, raising and showing cattle. Today, we’re proud to share that passion with our two children, Tyson and Ruth, while continuing the traditions that have shaped our families for generations.
High Voltage Cattle Company was established in 2016, rooted in a lifelong love for the cattle industry and the excitement of the show ring. My sister, Kayla, and I grew up showing cattle raised by our parents, earning the privilege of exhibiting numerous champions along the way. Taylor comes from a seedstock cattle operation in Etna, California. Although his background looked a little different from ours, he found success in the show ring at the same county fair where we competed. Over the years, Taylor has developed a true passion and talent for fitting and clipping, becoming an integral part of what we do.
The idea behind High Voltage began when we started selling show steers and heifers locally. The name itself has a fun story—many hours spent rocking out to AC/DC in the barn inspired the name High Voltage. What began as a shared passion has grown into something much more meaningful.
After college and as life led our family in new directions, Kayla moved to Colorado, while I returned to the family ranch. Taylor and I officially took over High Voltage Cattle Company, and we feel incredibly blessed to continue building upon the foundation laid by our families.
At High Voltage Cattle Company, we take pride in our ranching heritage, our commitment to raising quality show cattle, and the relationships we build along the way. We’re grateful to be part of this industry and look forward to continuing our family’s legacy for generations to come.
You might notice the prefix "SVCC" for our donors, pedigrees, or calves we post about. Frank and Christy Stonier, owners of Shasta View Cattle Company, have been in the registered cattle business for 40+ years. They have multiple breeds that all strive to meet a certain type and kind. They strongly believe in the power of a good female. Frank and Christy are very thankful for the life God has blessed them with, and feel blessed to share it with their family.
